Opera singer Aino Ackté knew her value and appreciated quality, which is why one of her favorite restaurants was Wanha Kasino.
On Saturday 29.3. we have a tribute to Miss Ackté – 3 course dinner and music, 69€/person.
Evening includes, opera, Finnish music, and tango from Argentina.
Performers: Päivi Pylvänäinen (soprano), Trio Tanguango: Susanna Mieskonen-Makkonen (violin), Kirsi Laamanen (accordion), Maija Teikari (piano) Matti Makkonen (cello).

The 550th anniversary of Olavinlinna will be celebrated in 2025. Olavinlinna’s internationally renowned tradition, the Opera Festival, was started in the summer of 1912 by opera singer Aino Ackté. Aino Ackté knew her worth and appreciated quality, and Wanha Kasino was one of her favorite places.
Ode to Lake Saimaa surprise menu, served in the stunning historical setting of Restaurant Wanha Kasino, is a tribute to the region’s finest ingredients and rich culinary heritage.
